13. Stephen Fry’s podgrams. Stephen Fry evokes a number of deeply troubling emotions in me, but we are going to ignore those for now and focus on the positives. Stephen Fry is one of the most intelligent celebrities around he is an Oxford Educated Renaissance man. He is amusing and interesting; he has a flair for the English language that is rivalled in few places. His podcasts are available at the Itunes store and each one of them is a work of brilliance, he is a truly amazing orator. His Twitter feed is also quite interesting.

14. Any and all whiny teenage emo blogs (The linked example Blog is dead). There is nothing more sad, amusing, infuriating! than one of these angsty little blogs make believing that they are the soul enlightened ones of the universe, looking in on a world filled with mindless sheeple all wandering around as zombies in a cruel conformist world. These annoying children who think that just because they have a keyboard, a cursory command of the English language and a basic idea of nihilism gleamed from the lyrics of their favorite metal/hardcore/slashcore/thrashmetal/wellhaploozacore (which we are to conformed to the harsh society to understand) are superior to us conformed masses. These stunning valiant warriors who go against the norm by dressing the same as all their friends, listening to the same music as all their friends and showing the same disdain for anyone who isn’t a member of their immature little club…. just like all there friends, Shine on you crazy star!

15.Stumbleupon. Stumbleupon is an Internet tool that…as far as I am concerned works by magic. But because I clearly must elaborate on that, Stumbleupon allows you to rate websites based on your interests and if you click the stumble button at their homepage, or on the toolbar (if you download it) you will be taken to a random site that matches your interests. Despite my initial skepticism it won me over, it is much better than scouring the Internet and it is very addictive. If I had one complaint occasionally it stumbles me into chan bullshit but those are few and far between.

I know probably no one will be interested but I found this map of Native American territory through Sumbleupon, so if your as into history and/or Native American culture I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

16. Surviving The World. This is hard to classify, it is a humorous message, picture or graph on a chalkboard. I know doesn’t sound thrilling BUT it really can be amusing sometimes and the writer seems to have a very different and insightful view of everyday life. There are a lot of history jokes and references, which is good for me.

5. The Editing Room. The Editing Room, is a collection of humorous abridged scripts for movies. These scripts are amazing. With some of them he manages to cut right to the heart of a film and expose the ludicrous nature of a situation, or the film itself. So many times whilst reading I have slapped myself for not thinking of it first.

6. Cracked forums. I am including this as separate from cracked, as it is very separate entity. I believe the PWOT forum is perhaps the most intelligent levelheaded forum on the Internet; it is full of incredibly funny and intelligent people. And The fact that a debate sub forum like we saved Hitler's brain (don’t ask) exists makes me very happy. And watching trolls have mental laps run round them in ‘The Hall Of Bad Posts’ is particularly pleasing. On a little aside, this is one of the best things I have ever seen happen on the net. Since it happened I don't think six months have gone by with out me reading it.

7. Britanik. Britanik is comprised of two regular characters. Almost every single thing they do on this site is a hit, they posses such mastery of timing and delivery that the mid boggles, never have I seen sketch comedy so masterfully performed.

8. Those aren’t muskets. George Michael Swaim lies at the heart of this comedy group, there are a few misses, but when he hits, god does he hit.

I have opted to make a list of Internet sites that due to their quality, humor or level of interestingness are addictive to an unhealthy level, many hours have been sucked into the twirling nether because of them, and I am not sure if I should blame myself or the makers.

1. Cracked. cracked grew out of an old magazine. It has grown to become insanely popular and well written. It gets humor by commentating on lists of things EG ‘six most half assed attempts at corporate green washing’, or a list of the things ‘video games must stop doing’. Really the depth of writing and the amount I have learnt from cracked is amazing. it is updated with three new articles a day. seriously it could write an article about the ‘seven best Miley Cyrus songs’ and I would read the hell out of it.

2. Nedroid. Nedroid is a webcomic created by Anthony Clark. He has a distinct writing style and his humor makes me laugh even if I don’t know why.
His main recurring characters Reginald and Beartato are cute in a naïve kind of way. He can masterfully set up jokes that are funny, and never stray into vulgarity.

3. Yahtzee Croshaw: Zero punctuation reviews.
Yahtzee Croshaw is a British reviewer who creates the hilarious ‘Zero Punctuation gaming Reviews’ for escapist magazine. He uses humor and wit to cut to the core of problems with games and the industry itself. He can be a bit negative, but he is so funny you wont actually care. It is updated every Wednesday. His personal blog is also quite funny.


4. XKCD. XKCD is a web comic made by an ex NASA physicist, he uses a minimalist art style. Many of his comic strips focus on technology and the inconsistencies and foibles there in contained.
